Despite the title of Static Guarding, our Security Officers are far from stationary. A vital part of their duties is to conduct regular and thorough security patrols. One of the popular misconceptions for the public is that our security officers’ patrol is to catch intruders. In reality, due to the security measures we have already put in place, intrusions are actually quite rare.
1. Security Patrols
The main reasons for security patrols are:
- To prevent fire, flood and damage to your property.
- To prevent waste of your company’s resources.
- To prevent accidents.
- To detect and prevent offenses.
These security patrols vary both in time and route; in order to ensure the element of surprise should an incident occur. If an incident does occur, it is always logged in the appropriate incident book. This may become important evidence if the police need to be called.
2. Reducing your environmental impact
As environmental issues are becoming more important due to the cost of wasted energy, our security operatives can check for, and switch off unnecessary lighting, saving you money by reducing energy bills. This will also help to reduce your company’s carbon footprint.
3. Property Guarding
Static Security Officers ensure your staffs are obeying the rules and regulations laid down by your company. This can be anything from enforcing the no smoking policy, to safeguarding the physical and intellectual property of your organisation.
All our Static Guarding Operatives are in communication with not only the control centre, but with their colleagues. If contact is lost between any of our guards, an immediate investigation is begun to ascertain the cause.
4. Peace of mind
These security patrols provide an added level of vigilance and intelligence gathering. The effective execution of this strategy will often prevent an incident occurring in the first place.
